TECH Europe recently returned to Bologna for the 28th edition of Autopromotec, the international biennial exhibition of automotive equipment and aftermarket products. Held at the Bologna Trade Fair Centre from 22nd-26th May, TECH was exhibited along with other leading brands from parent company, TRC, including Salvadori and Truflex/PANG.

As a returning exhibitor, the show once again proved to be a great opportunity to meet both existing and potential customers and discuss the latest developments in the industry. With a multitude of brands available from TRC, visitors were keen to learn more about tyre repair products available from TECH & Truflex/Pang as well as the innovative Retreading and Recycling capabilities of Salvadori; which all work together to fulfil TRC’s 4r vision of Repair, Reuse, Recycle & Repurpose.

TECH has been a tyre and wheel service industry leader for 80 years, and product innovation remains a key focus for the company in order to continuously serve customers with the most in-demand products in the market. Over 1 billion tyres have been repaired with TECH products around the world and Autopromotec remains to be a key exhibition to discuss TECH’s tyre repair capabilities. Visitors to the stand were shown the extent of TECH products, available for all types of tyres including passenger and light truck, OTR and agricultural. Other key lines on display included the groups extensive TPMS range which offers an impressive online ordering function.

A key highlight during the exhibition was led by Technical Trainer, Volodymyr, who performed live demonstrations of TECH’s leading repairs. TECH’s ever-growing product portfolio includes radial and bias repair units, plug-patch combination repairs, cements and related chemicals, cushion gum and extruded rubber, as well as the required tools and equipment. The strength and durability of TECH’s Uni-Seal range was a popular attraction as Volodymyr explained how these repairs outlast the life of a tyre as they are permanently filled by the stem and strengthened by a thick, non-fabric-reinforced rubber cap. The stem and cap of the repair are then sealed and vulcanised to the tyre with TECH’s thick chemical cushion gum, ensuring a safe and effective repair.

With the recently announced expansion of operations across EMEA, the team excitedly discussed the opening of TECH’s new Distribution, Training & Information Centre located in Belgium, led by newly appointed Tim Verhaeghe as General Manager. The new facility aims to provide the company with advanced opportunities to serve and support their dedicated distributor base located throughout the EMEA region. The new Centre of Excellence was designed specifically with a modern office space and warehouse, as well as a state-of-the-art training facility.

Thousands of technicians are trained and certified by TECH each year and with the opening of the new tyre and wheel service training centre, this offering will be increased throughout Europe. TECH is dedicated to promoting safe and effective tyre repair techniques, and places a very high importance on offering various forms of both seminar and field training, recognising the fact that properly trained technicians not only help promote tyre safety but also help increase efficiency, protect the environment and reduce costs. All TECH products are regularly audited by the world’s leading tyre manufacturers to ensure they are in adherence to the highest quality and testing standards including both BS AU 159 and ECE 108/109.

TECH’s General Manager, Tim Verhaeghe, noted how his team had a busy and successful exhibition at Autopromotec and hoped that all attendees enjoyed their time in Bologna. Make sure to check out our photos below of the exhibition!
