Last week, our European Business Development Consultant, Alan Bithell, attended the Irish Tyre Industry Association’s (ITIA) regional meeting, delivering an in-depth presentation on the importance of training in the tyre repair industry as a way of ensuring safety and efficiency.

Alan Bithell demonstrates TECH’s leading tyre repair products.

Formed in 1998, the ITIA represents a wide range of groups involved in the tyre industry including manufacturers, importers, wholesalers, and suppliers and works to unite these groups in supporting best practices and safety in line with market guidelines and relevant legislation.

Alan’s discussions focused around the importance of adhering to industry tyre repair standards such as BS AU 159g and how TECH’s range of repairs meet and exceed these guidelines with leading products such as TECH’s Uni-Seal Ultra Plug Patch Repairs.

TECH’s Uni-Seal Ultra repairs provide a simple, quick, and safe method to properly repair both radial and bias tyres. Also meeting the guidelines of the European standard, ECE 108/109, tyres repaired with TECH’s Uni-Seal Ultra repairs outlast the life of a tyre as they are permanently filled by the stem and strengthened by a thick, non-fabric-reinforced rubber cap.

The event also welcomed the opportunity for Alan to catch up with one of TECH’s long serving distributors TechPlus Ltd who were also in attendance. As a key partner of TECH Europe since 1993, TechPlus have built a strong reputation throughout Ireland as an industry leader, offering the highest quality products, expertise, service and support, while advocating for safety and training in the industry.

TECH realises that the key to proper tyre repair goes beyond having high quality TECH tyre repair products. Equally important is the knowledge and skill set to perform a repair as properly trained technicians not only promote tyre safety but also help increase efficiency, protect the environment and reduce costs. That’s why training remains a key priority within TECH Europe. With a newly renovated and expanded training centre, TECH continues to offer a comprehensive training curriculum combining both classroom and hands on training. Specialised tyre repair courses are offered which incorporate the latest tyre repair techniques recommended by the leading tyre manufacturers with a goal to Teach Each Customer How
