It has been a busy and exciting start to 2017 for\u00a0Tech International. The company acquired\u00a0Salvadori, the Northern Italy based\u00a0retread tools and equipment manufacturer, late in 2016. This move brings a unique one-stop offering to the repair and particularly the retread industry. Salvadori has built significant market share internationally for its range of tools and accessories whilst Tech has long-standing global relationships with many of the largest retread operators including Bandag and Goodyear. The Tech-Salvadori offering is clearly about much more than product range: Tech has a manufacturing, product testing, and distribution base in Northern Ireland, a distribution and training centre in Belgium and now, with the addition of Salvadori\u2019s resources, a production, distribution and training hub in Italy,\u00a0bringing Tech ever closer to its end users and their specific needs.<\/strong><\/p>\n Major acquisitions aside Tech is also investing internally. Iain Walker, Tech\u2019s EMEA VP of Sales & Marketing, himself a relatively recent addition to the team notes;<\/p>\n \u201cWe are excited to welcome another two new sales and marketing team members to our EMEA base in the coming weeks. This is in addition to the strengthening of our Customer Service team and the addition of a Key Accounts manager at the end of 2016. Our investment in people underlines Tech\u2019s ongoing commitment to distributors and to our end users. Our first priority is to be out in each marketplace with our sales partners and our customers, to listen and to learn from them but also to help them gain the maximum benefit from our unique tyre repair products and to deliver on the Tech promise \u2013 Teach Each Customer How. We make an incredible product here in our UK facility; the amount of care within the manufacturing process and the hands-on inspection of each unit is fundamental to our reputation for quality and the unrivalled durability of our repairs. We believe that this passion and attention to detail adds real value for every end user.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n With a global footprint of\u00a05 international bases<\/strong>, spanning all continents, Tech now has significant activity and initiatives on many fronts: the unique\u00a0Tech TPMS<\/strong>\u00a0programme has expanded; Tech continues to cement their existing international relationships with\u00a0leading tyre manufacturers and retread\/repair operations including Michelin, Goodyear, Bridgestone and Continental<\/strong>; ongoing research and development of new products and processes; proactive engagement with new market sectors including\u00a0tyre destruction and recycling<\/strong>\u00a0from passenger vehicles through to large OTR tyres; development of a division to focus on\u00a0industrial and conveyor belt repairs within the quarry and mining industries.<\/strong><\/p>\n Speaking after successful attendances at both Dubai Automechanika and Bologna Autopromotec, Tech\u2019s EMEA Managing Director Gary Crawford commented;<\/p>\n \u201cTech is widely acknowledged as the inventor of modern tyre repairs; our products have repaired over 1bn tyres in more than 100 countries over the last 78 years.
