\nTECH continues to place a major focus on the importance of tyre repair training with our VP of Sales, Walter van Loon and Technical Trainer, Volodymyr Bagdasaryan, recently travelling to Izmit to meet with one of Turkey\u2019s tyre repair experts, Brisa, part of the Saban\u00e7i Holding Company and exclusive partner of Bridgestone\/Bandag EMEA. Established in 1988, Brisa distributes the highest quality products including those from Bridgestone, Lassa, Firestone, Dayton, Kinesis as well as Bandag Retread brands. In 1996, Brisa became the first Turkish company to win the European \u201cQuality Grand Award\u201d<\/em> as a result of superior performance in business excellence. Today, they are among Europe’s largest top seven tyre manufacturing companies.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Volodymyr and Walter trained 36 qualified technicians, supervisors and managers from Brisa including Mr. Ahmet Kurtulu\u015f (Engineer-Bandag Operations Service), Mr. Fuat Ahmet Atay (Manager-Bandag) and Mr. Ziya Kart (Product Manager-Bandag).<\/p>\n

Taking place at Brisa\u2019s own training centre and also at one of their OTR retreading customers facilities, the training covered two repair sessions for all of Brisa\u2019s Bandag truck tyre dealers and OTR retread dealers. The Brisa Team completed both the TECH theoretical & practical training program covering section repairs for Truck, Tractor and OTR repairs in a retread environment with special focus on failure analysis and an introduction to “Aramid” reinforced OTR repairs as well as oversized extreme TECH AX repairs.<\/a><\/p>\n

\nBrisa services 20 Bandag dealers and over 100 \u201cFirst-Stop\u201d Sales outlets around Turkey. They retread more than 150,000 Truck Tyres and 15,000+ OTR Tyres per year.\u00a0 Since December 2018, they started using TECH repair products, in the first phase for all their Bandag dealer factories and in a later phase there\u2019s a commitment to use the TECH products for all their tyre sales outlets and \u201cFirst Stop\u201d repair shops.<\/p>\n
